Greetings from Charlotte. I've been a firearms enthusiast all my life. I was a member of the high school rifle team, and purchased my first handgun the day I turned 21. I have two Rossi 92's; a blue, 20" .45 Colt SRC I purchased in 2000 and converted into a takedown model, and recently purchased a stainless steel, 16" R92C .44 magnum. The SRC ran right out of the box, but I did do some polishing and replaced the springs. The R92C wouldn't even load cartridges through the loading gate. This CBC rifle required some extensive work to get it to function correctly and reliably. I love my SRC and would never part with it, and I really want to like this beautiful R92C, but only time will tell.

How the hell can one convert a rifle into a takedown model? I can't even comprehend the concept, and I used to be a machinist.....

Re: Hello from Charlotte, NC
Welcome!
EXCELLENT looking takedown job.
I'd like to do that on two or four of my levers but I'm lazy enough it probably won't happen.
A full rundown on the job would get lots of interest. Somewhere I am certain I have a copy of the old NRA article on the process with a Win94. I've seen a write up or two but I always find them interesting.

Welcome! And a take-down rifle! Now there’s an item now taking the top spot on my wish list.
