Here to learn!

Hello All,
I've owned several more modern Winchesters and Marlins, now have one of each. A 94 Bicentennial special, and a JM 1895C with the 24" Octagon barrel. I really enjoy them both!
Having always wanted a handy lever-gun in a pistol cartridge, just for fun mostly, I recently purchased a stainless 20" 92 in .45 Colt. I'm finding it to be quite a shooter! I've replaced the safety with a peep sight, and have just begun to work up loads for it. Its already proven its capable of 30 yard 1-hole groups with some Underwood wadcutters I had laying around. Really looking forward to what kind of performance I can get from it. Sure is handy!

Welcome to the party. You just gotta' love the 45 Colt. My Colt is a '92 with a 20" octagonal barrel. It hardly cares what I feed it anything from 200 grain SWCs to 300+ grain hunting loads it has always shot better than I can. I put a Marbles tang sight on it and it gets the job done for me.

Make smoke,

Welcome! The stainless option is a good one, and not offered by many.

Welcome to the forum. In the 92, the 45 Colt can do about anything that needs to be done.

In our club we have a saying.. "whatever the question, 45-70 is the answer..!!"

But I'm too much of a wimp for that, but 45 Colt suits me fine..:D
