I sold my Cool Streak on eBay. I already bought another.

It's an all original '88 Decade.

Waiting on arrival.

You'll have to post some pics.
The weather's almost ready for some rides. I wish they hadn't put a solar farm on my prime ride workout area.

96% done. Just waiting on some vintage product logo decals from the UK (similar to Kool-Stop sticker on seat post). To reitterate - I used no paint....just vinegar, cleaners and wax. Nothing is new other than the brake cables, tires and tubes (originals saved for later), and doughnuts.

I'm pretty sure I'm taking my MongEEse to a Dallas BMX show and swap meet to enter them in judging for 1980's freestyle Saturday evening. Since they are not restrored or NOS builds using thousands of dollars of parts they may not win BUT lots of people like me prefer older things that have been well taken care of....my bikes apply to this mantra.

I put the 1987 VANS brake pads (they look like little shoes) and the original and very rare PRO CLaSS (OEM) seat back on the '88 Decade (it's a November 1987 bike but with 1988 updates in time for the Christmas Season that year so it has '87 hubs, pads, levers, calipers, etc. VERY early '88 model). I've been cleaning stuff and whatnot but the biggest undertaking (today) was painting my custom PVC stands (NO kickstands allowed for Kool Kids) I made years ago. Also put era correct stickers all over them like we did in my day (I'm younger than most here, 44 as of Tuesday). I've been off all week so I needed something to do anyway. The '86 just got an overhaul due to usage (probably 300 miles on it since it was built a couple years ago) and because I didn't like the cheap way I did part of it (I swapped the OPC for three piece Redline cranks, VP777 pedals, Panaracer tires, Mushroom grips, Viscount Tricktop seat) so it was already pretty clean.

Wish me luck!

I won

Nothing. Looks like I signed up for the most populated class and there were some bikes there that had 12-15 times spent on them than mine do ($3-5K).

No, just a dramatic pause between "I won" and "nothing". See the continued text at the bottom of the post.
