The fellow working on the notification issue is very determined and managed to find the issue. The notification system is in operation, and he now knows where to look if, for any reason should the problem reoccur. A fellow by the name of Nate has saved the Forum's day.

It was in the shutdown notice, which is no longer viewable.
Now, you could PM him and he would receive an email notification of the PM
