Nope, site hasn't been down...

Post by Ranch Dog »

It has just been through the process of being secured with a new SSL certificate. We were receiving that security as part of our server contract, but the freebie was dropped and "we" bought a certificate from another source and I had to see it through installation. That was done earlier today (Tuesday). The web address to access the forum simply requires the https:// instead of the http://. If you couldn't log in it was because your address bar did not have the "s". A Google search would have brought you here as well.

My ranch stuff took me out all day on behalf of The Nature Conservancy and then running the State's whitetail regulatory census line. Just got in so I wrote the redirects so that you can simply type rossi-rifleman.com to get back online. Okay, off to bed, full day outside tomorrow (always).

I kind of figured it was something like this.

Are you doing okay with the cash to run the site?

Thanks for your time.

The re-directs point to https://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/index*** instead of the main page of either forum.

In my browser bar, I can enter any of the three forum references below:
rossi-rifleman.com
http://www.rossi-rifleman.com
http://www.rossi-rifleman.com
and they all redirect to https://www.rossi-rifleman.com
The forum adds the index.php as that is the main page and it has to have a page reference inorder to operate.

If you are seeing something else, I would suggest that you clear your cache; see: https://kb.iu.edu/data/ahic.html

I test this stuff on two PCs using Chrome, Edge, & Firefox plus both an Apple and Droid-based device.

Your welcome. In the web-based view, you can go to the bottom of the board index page and there is a bar graph with the status. Its not available in mobile view, but there is a link where you can switch back and forth between web and mobile views.

Good deal and thanks for all the work. I'm having no issues just reporting what I saw from my PC in the event it would help. I replaced the old bookmarks with new ones so it's no worry. Thanks again.
