Don, it's great to see you back!!! I'm in the same boat as you, all this extra time now and boredom, but not much brass to reload.

By the way, I had recently gotten a pound of that 300MP (I noticed in your past posts you liked it a lot for max velocity). I've been playing around with it in 357 magnum and wow, in particular with the longer the barrel the more it shines! I've been loading in the 18 gr range with 158 gr bullets and playing around with finding the best load for the 180 gr cast bullets, seems like 15-17ish but I need to get back to the range to do some chronograph testing on the 180s. I'm suprised how high you can go with it and not get any pressure signs.

I haven't purchased a 45 colt yet but it is on my agenda to get a 45 colt handgun/rifle pair one day here!

Since your a reloader, you'll love the 45 colt. With a 250-280 grain SWC and 8.5 grains of Unique, it's an accurate easy shooter. Same bullet and 20 grs of 2400 it's a powerhouse. I have never tried to find the max with a slow ball powder, just don't see the need for it.
