I tend to run the bullets in with the seat die adjusted to seat but not crimp and then pull the seating stem and then set them for crimp alone. That or get a dedicated crimp only die. It means running them through twice but it seems to work better for me. Most Dillon dies are and the 4 die Lee sets are typically set up for progressive use and usually come with a dedicated crimp die. Of course the Dillon dies Omit the expander as they sell a funnel for use on their presses that provides the expansion and that can be annoying if you need to use them on a single stage or non Dillon press setup.
