specs say the 30-30 weighs 7.5 lb.
I believe a 94 weighs 7 lb.
Thats not bad.
Octagon barrel adds the weight.
I would like one of their mares legs with loading gate, then pay the $200 SBR tax stamp, add a full stock, and a folding ladder rear sight, any pistol caliber will do.

Add a butt cuff with cartridge loops, leather sling, wrap the large lever with a nice piece of leather, etc.
Be perfect for me in the thick brush around here, or a truck gun for that matter.
Then match it up with the same caliber revolver.

Before I bought I compared the heft of the brass and the steel and bought the steel. So far it's been a good choice. Will have to see what I think after a few days in the woods.

We've been telling Henry for years to add the loading gate. You can bet your bottom dollar that they will add the steel and pistol calibers.

I'd like to see them make a Lightning carbine in pistol caliber and not cost $1500.00. If they could offer one for around the $800.00 or less it would sell like hot cakes...

Keep up the good work Henry

No kidding! That's the ONLY reason I'd consider buying a Henry, but the price of them will likely keep me away. For a bit more, I could get a Winchester or Uberti that's far nicer.

When they hit the dealers the OTC prices seem to be at least 20% less than MSRP.

Now someone has got to convince Starline to make .35 Rem brass as it's not available anywhere else. GF

Ive been searching for these Winchester 30 carbine HPs for over a year.
Had given up, figured Winchester no longer made them.
But Graf has them,
