Ordered some 45 cal coated bullets from Missouri Bullet Company.
.453 diameter WFN.
BHN 18 and Hi-Coated

I'll be using them for heavy 45colt rounds and 454 Casull.

I have 315 grain load data for both calibers.

I also have the more widely available load data for 325 grain bullets in both calibers.

If the everage weight of my bullets is 321 grains.
What is the load data I should use?
Should I barrow from heavier grain load or the lighter load?

Use the 325 to start.

Here's a recent load I've worked up.
MBC .453 sized 45 colt heavies. 319-323 actuall weight.
Hi-Tek Coated
Sighting these guys in for the first time.
20" R92 .
50yards
2MOA Red Dot

H110: 24.0

1566
1553
1551
1561
1567
1577
At COAL of 1.68 this 45 Colt load cycled through the action better than most factory ammo.
Seem to be very accurate load at 50. Will work up a few more of the same and really test accuracy.
No noticeable leading/ a bit dirty but nothing that can't be cleaned in 10 minutes.
No pressure sighns.
Looking at pushing the load to 1600-1700 fps by .2 of a grain increments. Until pressure, ES/SD , or accuracy tells me something is wrong.

I attempted to load this bullet in the 454 Casull Case; no matter to what COAL I would seat , the bullets would no cycle in the action.
I was hoping to find a economical bullet that I could load for both the 454 and the 45 Colt.

I was definitely surprised as well.
And have been very happy with the results.
Max listed COAL length listed is 1.68 and feed really well.
Cycling 6 rounds through the action as fast as possible there were no hang ups.
I'm very happy with the results.
Reading Elmer Keith's writings: this round has far more potential that I have not even touched.

From Elmer Keith:
335 CAST PERF/WFN
H110 50,000 CUP (for strong 92s) 1910 fps

I don't necessarily want to push the 325 grain MBC 45COLT to those specs ( After all I do have the option of the 454).
But, If I can increase the speed to 1600-1700fps, keep the pressure under dowm and maintain accuracy at 100y I would be very happy.
