Woodsbumming
Woodsbumming
We had a glorious day here in the hills, I grabbed my pack and .357 92 and spent the day tromping around the place. Found a turtle shell and a humming bird nest. Had lunch in a rocky gorge and generally enjoyed the day, ya shoulda been there!

Re: Woodsbumming
as a land surveyor for over 45 years I never got enough of the "woods bumming". That's as close to God's Nature as you can be.

Re: Woodsbumming
woods bumming season ends about mid-late October round here.
you gotta wait a bit more for the rode my snowmobile through the hills days.
followed shortly by why is there water running down the middle of the road where a foot of mud should be season.
but eventually July comes around, and you can start over again.

Re: Woodsbumming
Nice pics and adventure. I love spending time in the woods, I often only pack my Blackhaw 44 Special, but I do pack a long gun occasionally, either my Winchester 94 or 92. I most always pack my Gransfors Bruk Wildlife Hatchet though. It's a darn handy little thing to have the woods and has become a trusted friend.
