Nice!

I admit im super interested in this combo as the pistol/rifle matching set is what got me into wheels and levers in the first place

Itll have to wait quite a long time. $3000 for the rifle, $1500 for the BFR

Id be divorced before i could call my FFL

I've got a buddy in Arkansas with one of the S&W 500 Big Horn Armory rifles and it's impressive.
Took them a while to get going as he had his on order for several years preproduction and the prices have only gone up since.

I honestly like the idea of the rifle but I've got no interest in the handgun. .44 Mag is enough for me on the revolvers.

I had a chance years ago to buy a 1886 Winchester in 50-70 Govt with a box of 18 rounds and two empties. I suspect the BHA is maybe a bit more fun.

I agree about shooting it in a rifle vs a pistol although i did have an opportunity to shoot the x-frame this summer as my FIL has one

Barrel porting and lower pressure made for less felt recoil IMO than his Ruger SRH in 454 but man, for a little 5'4 fella such as myself it was whole lotta gun -- especially for living on the east coast

Having said that though this Model 89 is one of the first expensive guns that ive ever felt a yearning for. Its so damn pretty!

None of those sound fun to shoot more than once.

But once might be fun.
