Was out at the range yesterday and the RO began really examining my carbine.
Turns out he picked up a .45 Colt 20 in. Puma and it wasn't stamped with the
manufacturer's name. He was interested in who made it. Said it was a really
nice one, beautiful Walnut woodwork. Had the Puma logo on the stock and
receiver he said.
I wasn't much help and said so, thought Braztech possibly ?
I know some of you have a Puma, is the barrel stamped ? Know for certain
the manufacturer ?
TIA ... Jim
PS. was a fun day with decent results too. hi 50's to start the day ( no hot
barrels ).

Re: Puma ?
Amedeo Rossi probably made it, the original outfit that sold the business to Braztech.

Re: Puma ?
My own Rossi came in a "Puma" by Braztech box but says "Rossi" on the barrel. A few years after that the outfit that sells under the Puma name started getting Chiappa out of Italy to produce the guns for them and the prices shot way up compared to Rossi prices. The local shop where I got my Rossi/Puma started buying Rossi as well as the Puma labelled Chiappa rifles.
So what the RO had is up to guessing and depends on the age.
