357 plicking load

I've had a 158 jacketed load for a long time now. Some time back I bought a box of Berrys 158 flat points for pistol use. In 357 cases they won't feed in my Rossi rifle. Wanting a cheap to shoot plinking load I tried one of the Berrys in an unloaded 38 special case with an COAL 1.55". Same as my jacketed load with 357 cases. They fed 100%. So, I loaded some up with 5.4 gr. Unique and went to the range. Definetly a subsonic load. The rifle put 5 into 1 1/4" at 50 yards. Same POI as my jacketed load. Next range trip I'll chronograph the load. Might even try bumping up the powder charge but I'm happy with this first try.

I'd like to see numbers on that. I use barely less Unique in 9mm with 115 gr plated.

I don't know the velocity but your load would be in about the middle of the pack around here on the 1/2 sized lever gun silhouette range.
