They weren't exactly common (at least in .45-70) when they were a catalogued item.
More like that Sears Wishbook toy that didn't make it to production before Christmas but got the prototype into the catalog.
I did see a FEW of the Jungle Carbine rigs over the years in .308.

Looks like Cabela's has the Long Ranger 308 Win available but at $950 plus 8.25% Texas Sales Tax, I'm gon'na pass. Bummer!

A local shop has the BLR Lightweight at the same price and our local sales tax is 6.50% so it is a bit cheaper.

Yeah, perfect. No paying for unnecessary services. Misspoke above, it is 6.25%, just the State Tax.
