That pin should move freely. I polish mine down a bit, but first make sure it isn't gunked up.

I cleaned the Friction Stud on my rifles as well and they were impacted with hard grease but I really don't think that it's function of this assembly has anything to do with the lockup you are experiencing. As long as the Stop Pin is flush or recessed, it should be an issue here.

It's flush. I appreciate the help in this thread, it's been very useful and educating, but I think this is going to take a trip to Customer Service.

I hope they fix it and include the normal letter stating what was done so that we can learn in case this is a new issue we are unaware of. I thought maybe the cartridge guide rails on each side could be lose but it seems all was already addressed so I am curious to see what is found. +corn

I got it back today! That would be about 38 days turnaround time. I'd shipped it through a local FFL, and they said they shipped 3 of these R92s in for warranty work all about the same time. Might be a manufacturing glitch. Anyway, the repair order says, "Carrier Lever NPF, Finger Lever Plunger Adjusted." 11 rounds of .38 and 11 rounds of .357 test fired through it.

The action seems looser than I remember, but it's easier to move. Can't wait to try it out.

Does that mean that the lever was binding on the carrier?
