R92 headspacing

Out of curiosity: how is the Rossi92, and the Winchester for that matter, headspaced? I assume when new they would screw the barrel until just so, cut the ejector port, and call it good. But what about if they had to replace the bolt?

In theory at least a new bolt shouldn't affect head space, but that theory only holds if the bolt is correctly made. If the new bolt is "short" then the barrel would have to be set back and the chamber recut to correct head space.

One would hope that any new bolts leaving the factory would spec within the allowable head spacing, but when I read about holes in barrels and such I have to wonder at times.

On other rifles I've had they never assume the headspacing to be right on when new or that it will not change during the life of said rifle. I have seen replaceable locking lugs, different bolt heads, and even bolts which are oversized.

On the other hand, I might be overthinking this.
