They're made as pretty first priority IMO. They do look nice.

Care to elaborate a bit? The fit, finish & function thus far has been 100% and a pleasure to shoot & own. Yes, the walnut, styling is "pretty", but I see nothing on the rifle that suggests they prioritized looks over function. One thing that I enjoy is they will spit out empty brass accurately & consistently enough to land in a bucket a foot off my right shoulder. Not that I don't miss walking to the other side of the range with my R92 to pick up brass.

Neighbor just got a Henry steel in 357. Brought it over to show me, as he has seen me working on all my guns. It is really nice. Smooth. Heavier than the Rossi. Lever isn't quite as easy to work. He was trying to figure out what peep sight to get. I had an extra XS, so put that on for him. Now, we just need to take it and shoot it.

I love my Henry .22. But the larger caliber. In the past all the larger calibers have been in brass and heavy. I haven't been to Henry's sight is awhile and WOW. There's much of a selection. But the steel is listed at 7 lbs. That's a big difference from the 8.5 lbs. brass. They're still more expensive than the Rossi, but I might have to start saving my pocket change.
