Nice much bigger than I was thinking. Donhuff does some stuff like this as well. Sounds like fun.

do these guns fire black powder loads, or do they use modern smokeless powder?

There was actually a Senior Chief Gunner's Mate around and I asked him that question. He told me the 5" round id fired with modern smokeless powder. The steel case and powder weighs 27 pounds, the projectile 55.

We use 1.5 pounds of cannon or FF for our shots.
