Hi NavyDoc
Just part of life.
Fixed now, but as I said each time it's apart it will get a little more.
A set of good magnifying glass is a must, I think.

You cannot pull a qoute from another thread but you can copy and paste it to another thread for relevance to your current topic. Just add qoutations and op of the quote. In a topic you can qoute anyone within that topic just cannot export qoutes unless you do it. Copy n paste. Hope this helpsNavyDoc76-80 wrote:I couldn't figure out how to quote from another thread (Rossi picture thread), but I thought it worth a mention here from member Pitbull that his recent purchase also had the black unfinished locking bolts. I had to laugh as well, he said after a 100 rounds or so, the black was wearing off.

Re: New out of the box
Thanks for adding the pic Pitbull, I have to say it bothered me a lot when I first saw it but I'm over it now, function is my only concern at the moment.

Worked like you said just fine. I used my new skill to start a BP substitute thread. I had found one in reloading but had been closed and can't remember now if it was its age or lack of interest, so we will see.
Thanks again

Re: New out of the box
Just did my first up grade replacing the plastic magazine follower, used an empty 44mag case, fit perfect and works

Re: New out of the box
Ok, I've mentioned earlier in one of my ramblings the care of stainless on a weapon is something I'm lacking in. I bring this up here because my new Rossi, only out of the box for a week is showing signs of rust. I can only oil it so much for prevention of rust, but what have you'll done to remove the rust? In appearance it looks like multiple tiny hairs imbedded into the steel. ie: stainless steel, r92, 357mag
