I flew the airliner from NYC to STL to TUL. Oh... and bought a NIB 1982 Savage 110 chambered in 300 Savage!

Was kind of concerned about brass but located 200 cases as well and bought the dies. Not bad for a day's work!

I agree with ak, very nice looking horse!

I spent all day Saturday cooking and setting up for our quarterly get together of the dove hunting bunch and wives/girlfriends (mrs surv would NOT let me invite a girlfriend though). Grilled doves, smoked beans, pork steak, hot dogs......

Nice find on that savage for sure rd. I use to do most of the cooking in boy scouts I originally voluntered.to avoid having to wash the dishes nothing worse than scrubbing dutch oven an cast iron pans n such. I learned to cook alot out in the middle of nowhere. My fav. Pineapple upside down cake baked in the coals of a fire. And good ol chilli and corn bread. Love cooking over a fire. Thanks for shareing guys. It helps me remember thing I hadnt in while lol

Finished up planting my food plots. I have 3 different spots that I plant beans, corn, oats and sorghum. About 5 acres total. I look a little out of place on my 50's and 60's equipment compared to the huge rigs out working in the fields now. Neighbor farmers give me the seed to plant and the critters usually eat it all up by spring. Its a win win cuz I enjoy doing it the hard way and get to help wildlife. I have 43 acres of CRP too. Could make alot more money renting it out for crop farming but thats not me.
