My 92 camw from Rossi with a weaker spring. My empties pop up a few inches above the receiver.
Not sure if I have a fluke, or if Rossi has made a change to the part. In any case, it saves me the cost of a spring kit!
Why replace the ejector spring?

Re: Why replace the ejector spring?
All six of my Braztech R92s dump it in a neat pile at my feet. I had bought two of SG kits thinking I would need the spring and never put them in.

Lago,
My .357 drops them at my feet. I've had a few other little issues, but the ejec. spring has not been one of them. Good luck.

Re: Why replace the ejector spring?
It really seems to vary from gun to gun as I've shot a few that friends have that didn't change the spring and they dropped like mine did. My 45 Colt would launch them about 8' behind and to the right of me when new.

My Navy Arms 1892 in 357 will launch 'em into low earth orbit if I'm not careful. But it was new in '99.

Re: Why replace the ejector spring?
I've been shooting silhouette for many years, never lost one case because I grab them as they are slowly ejected. All the shooters of the mighty steel are reloaders and all save their cases but you'll never see a ground search for ejected empties because all are snagged upon ejection. Maybe once in a while a newby will be seen dropping their empties to the ground but they learn pretty quick.
