Hello guys, (and gals, as the case may be),
I shot my first gun back in about 1965, and just got my first rifle yesterday, a Rossi m92 srs, 16" barrel. No cat head, no side ring, no safety.
If the previous owner hadn't admitted to shooting it, I would have thought it had never had a cartridge inserted. Literally, not a scratch or blemish on it, the bluing is first rate.
I have read about "slicking up the action", but without a reference point, ie, cycling an action that has been "slicked", I must say that this feels fine. Solid, not gritty or binding, smooth and precise, not sloppy. I have no way of knowing what work may have been done on it already. Happy camper, I am.
Anyway, just stopping in to say hi.

Thanks for signing up and it sounds like you are already set! That is an obvious benefit of buying a rifle that has been cared for!
