I found a video on U Tube that showed how to "disable" it with an O-ring. A quarter inch id ring fits in the groove and does a good job of keeping it off. I'll see how it is at the range.

Good morning
Or a 2 inch or so length of leather (old shoe lace) wrapped around the ring and once through the cleat then tied. We do all our SRC's that way.

So far the O-ring seems to be working. The safety does provide a little peace of mind when clearing the gun. Although I've been having so much fun with it there never seems to be any live ammo left to clear .

Ordered the EGW pic rail for the 336 today still not sure about red dot scope or staying "cowboy" but it will give me the option. Right now I'm leaning toward TruGlo's 2x red dot. Anyone here with experience with the TruGlo line?
