Re: Got this today
Hmm, maybe bullet mold sales will increase.
Then they will have to go after the mold manufacturers.
wonder if they have already outlawed lead bullets in kalifornia.

Re: Got this today
My UPS guy learned to dread my address this year.
I'm done buying ammo for the year, 2018 is the year for powder and components to stock up on now.

Re: Got this today
Reading the initiative i cant find the words 'bullet' or 'components' anywhere which tells me reloaders are exempt by loophole
To those that know their terminology: Bullets are not ammunition
Which begs the question if that company is just fishing for panic buy sales from the uninformed. Furthermore, those found in violation are guilty of a misdemeanor, not a felony.
Does this measure suck for the average shooter? Ohyeah. But for the reloader who buys bullets (to say nothing of the caster) tgis largely changes nothing

Agreed on your terminology point.GRV01 wrote:Reading the initiative i cant find the words 'bullet' or 'components' anywhere which tells me reloaders are exempt by loophole

Most enthusiasts know the difference, but sales reps also know that by feeding into the panic scare they can bolster their sales by duping the uninformed.
I spent way more than I wanted to buying ammo in '16 and '17 because beginning 1/1/18 we can't buy and have it delivered anymore. Reloading components, however, are still okay to purchase online at the LGS.
Here in CA there's a lot of misinformation spread by companies within the industry and especially the media. Many people don't even know what is fact from fiction regarding all the new and changing laws that we have to jump through hoops for just to keep from being criminals.
I try and stay on top of it, and I'm still not even exactly certain which laws are in effect or not at this point.
I feel bad for the people who don't spend time online reading updates on gun forums. These will be the unfortunate ones who get hood winked by the new laws.

Re: Got this today
I have been buying as many components and factory assembled as I can for about 4 years.

Re: Got this today
I would look on it as a good thing.
Lazercast makes a pretty good pot sweetener.
their bullets IMO pretty much suck [including their ridiculous price] except as an alloy for bumping cheap soft lead up to something useful.
I won't complain if you dump them into the local berm.
