Re: Shooter's Choice Lead Remover
I finally had the time to try this on my brother-in-law's 30-30. Before I started on it my gunsmith couldn't put his gauge slug in from the muzzle end and when dropped in from the chamber it stopped 2" from the muzzle. I am happy to say it is now .30 caliber again! Hard to believe how much lead came out of that rifle. Thanks for sharing your method Ranch Dog!

Re: Shooter's Choice Lead Remover
Greetings Mr. Mike
That was an interesting read. Have tried some so called lead removers in the past. None really gave any better performance than using a bore brush.
Next time north I will get a bottle and give it a whirl. Load up some "hard cast" but undersized plain base bullets launched by a snoot full of 2400 through the 41 Dan Wesson. That should leave a pile of high pressure smears to work on.

Re: Shooter's Choice Lead Remover
hey Mike.
lazercast should work perfectly.
they did when I wanted to lead up my 41 mag ruger.
I was then able to remove it with a gas check bullet without the gas check installed by shooting it at a nominal target speed.
usually 2-3 cylinders worth of barrel leading was gone with 4-5 shots of the softer better fitting alloy.
