Hello from SoCal...

Post by jamesgpobog »

Rossi M92 owner, but I'll bet I have bigger guns than anyone else on the forum. You see, I work on Battleship Iowa in San Pedro, CA. Can anyone beat 16" bore, 67 foot long, 292,000 pound guns throwing a 1900 pound projectile 24 miles? :D 8-)

I have always loved big guns found a cool pic of the round with I assume dummy charges behind projectile.

Yeah, that's the 'load' display, but I'm not sure where the pic is, doesn't look familiars probably Richmond, 2012. Google 'Battleship Iowa San Pedro', there's lots of recent pix...

Give him a big salute from me. I was in USNR from 1970-1976, with a tour of S.E. Asia in 1972. Tonkin Gulf, yachting with my Uncle (Sam)...
