New to me Marlin 1894 / 44MAG

Post by JackOAT »

Well, the Marlin shortage led me to looking at Rossi's. Only to find there is a shortage of them too! (at least of one you can test as recommended before buying) I still want a R92, but have to build up the gun fund a bit first.

Anyways I found a VERY nice Marlin 1894, circa 1988 for $350!!!!!!! Here is a pic!

I wouldn't say that.............the latest Remlins I've seen are a lot better than the gunbage that was rolling off the lines at the new Ilion, NY plant 3 years ago.

I think Remlin will start their line of 1894s again now they have just about climbed the 336/1895 learning curve.

A JM 1894 like yours in what appears to be mint condition could easily fetch $500. That gun has been very well cared for.

You've definitely got a nice gun there.........time to get out there & fill the freezer with it........winter's coming.
