The WW Guns ejector/spring arrived today so I'll report the results back here, hopefully later tonight.

Love My RG4570S but until Braztech revises their "restricted" parts list, I'll not buy another or recommend the brand to anyone else.

Re: RG45-70S Ejector and Spring Replacement
I'm looking forward to the report. I cannot find my WW ejector (I was calling it a Beartooth in the earlier posts). I think I put it in my 444P that I sold.BeerHunter wrote:The WW Guns ejector/spring arrived today so I'll report the results back here, hopefully later tonight.
I tried a new Marlin ejector in my RGs and it does work. I also found my notes, during my shooting session with the RG4570, the Marlin ejector's nipple somehow jumped the hole in the receiver and jammed the bolt. With that information, I went to work this evening comparing measurements of all the features related to the part and the slot cut in the bolt. In a nutshell, the RG part is larger than the Marlin and the slot in the bolt is larger as well. Additionally, the hole in the receiver is a also larger diameter. I can only speculate that the "loose" part began to wear under the recoil of the 45-70, I wish I would have looked at the part closer after I removed the bolt but I didn't. The little "nub" or "nipple" on the ejector might have given way but by the time the bolt came out the ejector and spring was destroyed.
The Marlin part is going to work as John reported but just watch it for wear.

Re: RG45-70S Ejector and Spring Replacement
I can't speak to the Marlin factory part but I installed the aftermarket Wild West Gunz one-piece stainless steel ejector and spring for the Marlin 336 in my Rossi RG4570S and the part seems to fit right into the slot ad function just fine. Of course, I can't measure the original Rossi part to compare to this WW Gunz and I suppose it possible there may be a little play but it doesn't appear to exhibit any abnormal play as I cycle the bolt. In fact, feels rather "snug", the bolt cycles cleanly without any resistance, there's no tendency to jam, and it throws the empty shells only a couple of feet away. So I think my RG4570S is back in business!
As Ranch Dog suggested, I will keep an eye out for any wear of this WW Gunz ejector/spring.
If Braztech ever revises their "restricted part" policy and allows me to order replacement parts WITHOUT returning my rifle to the factory, I'll buy a spare Rossi ejector and spring and return to endorsing and recommending Rossi firearms again. Until then..."Trust, but verify!

Re: RG45-70S Ejector and Spring Replacement
John, thanks for giving me the info needed to go ahead and risk ordering the Wild West Gunz ejector/spring.
When I have more time, I'll try to take measurements (as precise as my calipers will let me) of the critical dimensions of the Wild West Gunz ejector/spring and it's interface in the RG4570 receiver and bolt for the benefit of all here. Regardless, I like the WWG part and how it functions a lot! It would be a good mod for Marlin owners, too!
