Rossi 92 44 mag 20" Round Barrel

Post by cro7842 »

Haven't rec'd it yet but I put some money down on a Model: R92-55001, 44 mag, 20", round barrel, blue, from Buds....ordered a Burris Scout scope (Burris #200269), and the Rossi P892 mount....I have been reading and reading till my eyes cross.....now I am wondering if I have to have the 92 drilled and tapped for the the scout scope? Anyone have suggestions?

Most rossi rifles will have to be drilled for that mount and obviously need someone competent to do this correctly Hope you have a good smith in your area or have a good setup yourself to do the drilling. Unless the newer rifles come predrilled for mounts this I don't know someone like R.D. will probably chime in here and enlighten us more. post pics once you get her.

The Rossi R92 .357 with 16" barrel that I just bought came with the holes predrilled, so they probably will be on your rifle as well.
