My Rossi 92
Inspired by NavyDoc76-80 I decided to post some pictures of my Rossi 1892
It is a round barrel 20" in .44 Magnum
I have a Large Loop Lever on the way, from Germany. For once, cheaper than the US Prices, that I could find.
This is the first part, that I am replacing.
It has the "famous" yellow mag tube follower, and at some time, that is going to be replaced. Maybe, together, with a new mag tube spring.
The wood has been given a coat or 2, of Scherells Shaftöl (uncoloured)
I have run around 200 rounds through it, without any issues. The trigger feels fine, and it cycles good.
I haven't done any accuracy testing, as I am a lousy shooter, but I have had plenty of fun, and it easily shoots to MOB(Minute of beer can) at 50 yards.(standing)
The scratches and such, in the metal and wood, are my own fault. At times, I can be rough, at my firearms.
They weren't there, when I received it.

Re: My Rossi 92
The dark woodwork is after applying the Scherells Shaftöl ?
I goggled it and came up empty ?
I like it !

Re: My Rossi 92
It came in that dark stained colour.
Before oiling it, it almost looked like they had been using soot, to stain it.

Minute of beer can shooting at 50 yards standing with iron sights is "good shooting". The bead of the front sight is a can width at 50 yards. Thank you for posting your photos, and enjoy.

Looks good and has the typical dark finish of the Amadeo rifles. Don't see many NIB rifles left over from them!

Re: My Rossi 92
Will you be using cast or jacketed bullet loads, perhaps both?
Any hunting anticipated or recreational shooting to be the primary use?
As Ranch Dog said, not many New In Box Puma's laying around.
Have read several books by Vilhjalmur Stefansson's travels in Greenland - great reading, fine country.
I enjoy the Arctic regions, had over 27 years in Alaska.
Nice rifle. Keep us posted.
