Greetings from Baton Rouge

Post by Blind Hawg »

Here I am to seek knowledge of the R 92. Just acquired a new .44 blue rifle with 24" barrel. I'm retired from industrial sales. I hunt whitetails on my property near Zachary Louisiana. Recently using .308 and .35 Whelen but I hope to take a deer with the 92 this season. My last lever gun was made by Daisy, so bear with me I may ask dumb questions.

Same first here, it was a copy of the Win 94 though, just like my dad's deer rifle. I think you will find it a capable deer cartridge. Make sure the sights are up to the job. I believe that Daisy had better sights than the Rossi, and I know my vision was much better!

Welcome,

My first wasn't a lever but a smooth bore Crosman multi pump BB/pellet rifle.
Several years later a friend of mine got one and they'd started rifling them and making most of the parts out of plastic.

First centerfire was a Win 94 just before the angle ejects came out.
