Old cap guns!

Post by akuser47 »

Well in another's member intro thread these type of cap guns were mentioned. I was cleaning out the shop of more of my recently passed step dad's horde and found this in a drawer under a ton of kitchen knives. A Nichols stallion mark II.
I am finding it has a little value. I almost tossed it into the garbage.

Don't throw it away! They don't make 'em like the used to. Keep 'em for your kids or grandkids or friends' kids or whatever your situation is. It's a cool old toy, even if it is basically worthless.

I almost did. Then looked it up. Seeing them sell from 75.00 dollars and up. I'm thinking of getting a spring kit and repairing it. So it fully functions. Mainly needs new indexing paw. And a few springs. It is the coolest toy gun I have ever seen.

Whoops! I misread your originial post as "i'm finding it has little value". Good, I'm glad it survived the purge. Cool toy for sure.

The boxes for them are up there. Sometimes more than the toy itself. The 300 dollar range is with box n accesseries. This is far from that. Either way it's cool. I can see how my post could be misread that way lol. I've sent emails out to collectors and even posted it on local craiglists for 200 obo. I don't think i will get that much. Who knows if it doesn't sell then i will repair it myself.
