RD, I must let you know from my experience at being retired for quite awhile now ...
you will soon wonder how you managed to " keep up " with all the chores when you
were a working man. My " ranch " is an acre and a half so I can't even imagine how
you will manage !
Thanks fellows, it was a good day on several counts. My grandson and side kick, Noah (see avatar), had been hospitalized the day after an ER visit at 2 am. The croup, I've heard about it but needed to read about it. So he spent the 22nd in the hospital and was released yesterday. That was an outstanding gift! He is on the mend and will spend today with me.
We had a little get together with all the family on the ranch and I heard from my extended family as well. I'm a lucky fellow!
It has been a busy week here on the place, getting things tuned up for the Texas Youth Hunt Program. Everyone will show up this afternoon and the kids will be out hunting in the morning.
