Scope Mount

With all the talk about mounts I looked in my boxes for them and found none. Called Rossi, spoke with a nice young lady, told her my situation, gave serial #'s, was told no mount for octagon barrel, one on the way for the Rio Grande. Today it showed up. I'm thankful for the mount but I pulled rifle out and the bolt holes will only line up on two holes. There are four holes in rifle and four holes on one end on mount; without pulling my box from attic can some one tell me if this is the right mount? Use only two holes?

Still can't ask for more from Rossi.

Thank You Rossi,

tnaz

I would put money on this.. I think it is the mount for the Single Shot series. Rossi has never offered the Rio Grande mount as a stand alone item, they just include them with the rifle. Honestly, I don't think I've seen one on ebay or gunbroker.

Guys remove them I'm sure. You might put a WTB ad in the appropriate forum here and on other forums.

That's what it says on the package, Rossi single shot. I looked on their web site and that is the mount they sent. I'm not going to scope this rifle any time soon but thought I should have got one with my rifle.

Did you buy the rifle new?

I thought so, Gun Broker , dealer up in the N.E.. It looks new to me. Doesn't appear to have been shot, but I really don't know? I bought as new anyhow.

It should have had the mount on it then. The RG is like the Circuit Judge; comes with the mount and neither seem to be available otherwise.

It looks like it was taken off then. I was not planning to scope. I will call them "Rossi" Monday and ask if they have one that will fit and if they want this mount back. If they don't want it back I will give it to someone in need on here.

Keep us posted and I would watch ebay and gunbroker as well.
