Hog surprise

Post by SaltH2Odeprived »

Was hunting alone at camp in East Texas last weekend.
Friday night the moon was bright, so bright I was able to walk the trails without using a light.
Searched for hogs unsuccessfully for several hours.
Returned to camp, was sitting on the back deck and a light lit up on the feeder 90 yards away.
I did not know my brother had installed a motion light the previous week.
Under the feeder was this red hair boar.
Shot him with 45 LC, 325 grain.

Well, that was the type of surprise I like. Thanks to your brother for help in getting us that photo. How much meat ya figure is going into the freezer?
